Welcome to the L.A. Greek Fest

The LA Greek Fest has established itself at the must-see event in the month of September, here in the City of Angeles. The three day festivity brings together the finest Greek cuisine, music, and dance in a lively setting on the spacious grounds of Saint Sophia Cathedral, a registered historical landmark, located in the heart of the Byzantine Latino Quarter of the Mid-City district of Los Angeles.

Currently in its 16th year, the Fest has grown from a handful of dedicated parishioners to an army of volunteers who cook, serve, clean and entertain the more than twenty thousand expected guests.

Among the celebrities in attendance will be Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Nia Vardalos – the star of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” , Patricia Kara from “Deal or No Deal”, Thaao Penghlis (General Hospital), Billy Zane, Louis Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and political dignitaries including LA City Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Guests will be delighted by the lineup of authentic Greek gourmet cuisine, prepared from scratch using family recipes handed down from generation to generation. Gyros and Souvlaki, Greek salads, and Frozen Yogurt; our festival will feature world famous patisseries from Baklava to Galaktoboureko (Greek custard pie– delicious!) to sweeten your pallet. Then wash it all down with the finest imported wines from the resplendent wineries of the Aegean.

With games, prizes, and informative cultural presentations, the LA Greek Fest is a perfect get-away for the kids as they return back to the school year.

We hope you will visit the LA Greek Fest this September 5th , 6th and 7th.
